Annual Educational Evaluation Letter & Standardized Testing – Which One?
There seems to be questions about how to send your annual educational evaluation letter, or form, to the county home education office.
First of all, a county form is not required by law. A form may be asked for, yet cannot be legally required to be used by the county school district school board. I know for a fact, from experience, that the county home education offices will not insist on any “evaluation form” being used instead of a standard educational evaluation letter that complies with the state law.
Now, having said that, if a parent wants to use the form that their county home education office sends the parent, or tells the parent to print off the county website, I use it and send it to the county home education office, or give it to the parent to send if the parent wants to use the form. It is not a problem. It is just not required by law, nor do most homeschooling associations and /or groups recommend deviating from what is required by state law, and the precedents that have been set for our homeschooling liberties.
I do annual education evaluations for homeschool students, as required by the Florida state law, as well as, standardized testing, if so desired by the parents. And I take care of everything for the parents with documents, and copies of everything. This is my way of helping promote homeschooling, and this is also why I only charge a fee of $25 for an annual educational evaluation. This helps everyone, and that is what I am here to do; help to make homeschooling in excellence easier, and stress free. I can usually get the annual educational evaluation done within 48 hours of the parent’s initial contact: http://www.homeschool-evaluations.com/ Now, standardized testing takes a little longer.
As for how to send the annual educational evaluation letter, or form, to the county home education office; I send it directly to the county home education office, in a PDF file of the original evaluation letter or form, attached to an email directly to the county home education office administrators, as soon as I have completed the evaluation. I send the evaluation with a request for a confirmation reply from the county office that they have received the evaluation, and that the evaluation has been processed. All the county home education offices have been very happy to comply with the request of a confirmation reply. I also send a copy of everything, including the emails and reply emails, to the parents immediately, to keep on record.
If you fax the annual educational evaluation letter, or form, to the county office, just because you have a confirmation from the fax machine that it was sent and went through, it does not show that the evaluation is what actually went through in the fax, any more than a set of blank sheets of paper, which has happened to many people many times by turning their documents upside down on the fax machine by accident.
It is my pleasure to be able to help make the annual educational evaluation stress free, quick, simple and inexpensive, as well as, standardized testing (if desired), so that families can spend more quality time together learning, and having fun.
