Top universities want you to homeschool

It’s not that top universities are telling people to directly homeschool their kids. Instead, top schools are using a selection process that gives homeschooled kids a huge advantage. Here’s why:
In the age we are living in, education is continually being redefined, so much so that the old rules no longer apply. What it took for me to get into a good university will not work anymore to get that same spot at the same university. Competition is more fierce, and good grades no longer set anyone apart from the pack. Good grades are the basic requirement, but now as a student you must show how you will contribute to the student community and the global community as a whole, in order to stand out as a candidate.
Homeschoolers have an advantage in this setting because our school day is intrinsically set up to maximize the part of our academic careers that does set us apart. Do not waste this opportunity! If you don’t know where you are going, how will you get there? Is “getting into a good school” the goal, or is the goal getting into a specific school with a specific program? Even if you don’t know what you want to study yet, you can still maximize your time by enriching your life and curriculum with real-world experience and community service. There are lots of ways to set yourself apart from the crowd, so take advantage of the opportunity that homeschooling affords you.
